JET Landscapes has been building gardens and digging groundworks since 2007. We started in Cumbria, spent several years working in Suffolk, and we are now back where we began — covering the South Lakes for good.

Why we came back
Suffolk was good to us, but this is home. The work here is different and, frankly, more interesting: steeper ground, harder digging, older stone, and far more weather. It is also work that rewards knowing an area properly. Where the clay sits, which valleys flood, which gardens have rock a foot down, what a wall in this parish should look like — that is knowledge you accumulate rather than look up.
How we work
The same person quotes your job, runs it, and answers the phone afterwards. There is no sales team and no subcontracted crew turning up in an unmarked van. If we quote it, we build it.
We own our plant and our operators are our own, which is why we can commit to a programme and hold to it. It also means we are not paying hire charges while we wait for someone else to finish, and that shows up in what we charge you.
And we will tell you when something is a bad idea. If your budget will not stretch to doing a job properly, we would rather say so and suggest doing half of it well than take the money and build something that fails in three winters. That has cost us jobs. It has also brought back more work than any advertising ever has.

Every photograph on this website is a job we did ourselves. No stock photography, no AI-generated images, no other contractor’s portfolio. If it is on here, we built it, and we will happily tell you where it is.
Domestic and commercial
Roughly speaking, half our work is private gardens and half is site work — footings and drainage for builders, hardstanding and access for commercial clients, fencing and land drainage for farms and estates, and outdoor space for holiday lets and hospitality. The two halves keep each other honest: the commercial side keeps our groundworks standards up, and the domestic side keeps us fussy about the finish.
